The electrical discharge machining (EDM) is one of the major manufacturing processes widely applied in die and mold making industry to generate deep and three-dimensional complex cavities in many different classes of materials under roughing and finishing operations. Die sinking EDM require intelligent flushing.
Die sinking productivity can be increased by using EDM. It helps in making die sinking task easier. There are two different EDM processes: die-sinking EDM and wire-cut EDM. Die sinking is the most common as it is used for mold cavities. A die sinker simply pushes its way into the mold cavity with slow process of vaporization.
